ART HISTORY Around the World – in the Mitchell Home

3 different classes; sign up for 1 or all 3!

Friday mornings, 10:30 am-12:00 pm

Class fee: $25 per class (includes drink and themed snack)

Instructor: Dr. Michael Faris

Join professor and artist Dr. Michael Faris for a lively exploration of the art, architecture, artifacts, and cultures of the ancient world. Each session features an engaging slide presentation and discussion exploring how history and culture influenced the art we see today. Questions from the audience members are encouraged. Dr. Faris has been to each of the countries that will be discussed and has included images from his own travels.

Whether you’re an art enthusiast, an experienced artist, or simply curious to learn more, everyone is welcome! No prior knowledge required—and best of all, there are no tests 😊

Enjoy coffee, water, and a light snack inspired by the culture being studied. Attend one session or join us for the entire series!
